Airtel Africa has chosen Network International as its payment processor. It will be responsible for managing financial transactions linked to mobile services with the launch of new products in the telecoms operator's main markets.
Network International will provide its expertise and technical assistance to Airtel Africa for the deployment of a full range of services such as card issuance, transaction processing, hosting and card management, online fraud prevention, internal reconciliation and settlement.
“This collaboration will enable us to deliver a superior customer experience and drive digital financial inclusion across Africa. Network International’s proven experience and deep understanding of the African market will enable us to innovate and scale our services more effectively,” said Ian Ferrao, Airtel Money Group-wide Managing Director, Airtel Africa.
The collaboration is also expected to strengthen Airtel Africa's mobile financial services. The company plans to launch its Airtel Money platform in new markets as part of the IPO of its mobile money arm planned for 2025.
