This launch follows the opening of Paratus Kenya just four months prior, marking a significant step in the group's ambitious expansion plans throughout East Africa and sub-equatorial regions.
“Opening in Tanzania is excellent news, not only for our group but also for all businesses in the country seeking high-quality connectivity services. With the necessary regulatory licenses secured, we are thrilled to partner with Green Telecom and launch Paratus Tanzania. Our professional technical engineering teams are now positioned across the country, ready to leverage opportunities and provide exceptional connectivity and backup solutions to rural and underserved areas,” said Martin Cox, Chief Commercial Officer of Paratus Group.
“With this collaboration, we aim to target numerous sectors, particularly tourism, which has seen a significant boom—tourism numbers have increased by approximately 25% over the last year. This sector alone presents substantial opportunities. Additionally, we will focus on mining, NGOs, the health sector, and the East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP). Importantly, we anticipate creating many new jobs in the coming year as we expand our services,” said Said Alli, Managing Director of Paratus Tanzania.
“By establishing a presence in another key East African territory, Paratus strengthens its total network service offering. We are dedicated to customizing network services for any enterprise that requires a fast, robust, and reliable connection, both within Africa and to the global market. The Paratus Group is at the forefront of Africa's digital revolution, driving and reshaping connectivity across the continent. As we connect more people in Africa, we empower them with the services and support necessary to realize their full potential,” said Cox.
With this new initiative, Paratus Group reaffirms its commitment to enhancing telecommunications in Africa, emphasizing its role in facilitating economic growth and development in the region.
