The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (ART) of Cameroon is planning urgent measures to ensure the improvement of the quality of telecom services provided to consumers.

These measures were announced at the end of a working meeting between Philémon Zoo Zame, Director General of the regulator, and the Directors General of telecom operators Orange Cameroon and MTN Cameroon.

The ART has undertaken to carry out a local and in-depth audit of the networks and core networks of telecom operators in the coming days. It has also planned an assessment of the measures taken by mobile phone companies to improve the quality of service as well as the investments made for this purpose.
