Bonjean Rodrigue Mbanza, Gabonese Minister of Digital Economy and New Information Technologies, has welcomed a delegation from Airtel Africa led by Paul Arkwright, independent member of the Board of Directors.
The two parties discussed prospects for cooperation and development between Gabon and the Indian telecom operator. The deployment of 5G and the possible landing of the 2Africa cable on the Gabonese coast have garnered attention.
"We are interested in the vision of the Head of State in terms of investment, jobs, and the deployment of 5G in Gabon. Since 30 August 2023, we have observed a desire for significant change," said Arkwright.
