Nigerian Communications Satellite Limited (NIGCOMSAT) has partnered with the Broadcasting Organisation of Nigeria (BON) to provide uplink services on the NIGCOMSAT satellite network. This three-month collaboration will help improve the quality and reach of broadcasting services for BON members nationwide.

This aligns with the objectives of the Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy, led by minister Bosun Tijani. NIGCOMSAT will utilise its advanced satellite technology to support and enhance the capabilities of BON and its affiliated organisations.

Jane Nkechi Egerton-Idehen, MD/CEO of NIGCOMSAT Ltd, said that NIGCOMSAT drives digital transformation and enhances connectivity in Nigeria. Collaborating with the Broadcasting Organisation of Nigeria elevates the country’s broadcasting landscape and brings satellite technology benefits to millions.

NIGCOMSAT’s technical team will work closely with BON to integrate their systems and ensure a seamless transition.

The partnership will provide better access to broadcasting services for more Nigerians, including those in rural and underserved areas. By committing to high-quality media content, it will connect Nigeria more effectively and expand its audience reach.
