Digitel proceeds with 5G tests

18 June 2024

Digitel is carrying out 5G tests in South Sudan, which should allow it to assess its capabilities to provide commercial ultra-broadband services in the country.

“With its ultra-high speed, low latency and massive connectivity, 5G will help deliver smart cities and advance healthcare solutions across all sectors of our economy. The network will enable our businesses to remain globally competitive, our government to deliver smarter public services, and our citizens to have a platform to explore and create like never before,” said Jacob Maiju Korok, deputy minister of information.

Once commercially launched, 5G should allow Digitel to better meet the needs of its current customers and attract new ones.
