The drone features fully autonomous flight capabilities, equipped with live 5G streaming cameras that allow real-time video monitoring. Its advanced computer vision system ensures accurate recognition of delivery points and safe landings, even in congested or restricted areas. Users can also plan and oversee flight routes through an intuitive dashboard, enhancing operational control.

“Drones can help manufacturers reduce shipping costs, speed up inter-facility distribution, and reach areas that are challenging to access by land transport,” said Feby Sallyanto, XLSmart’s Chief Enterprise Business Officer. “They also contribute to lowering carbon footprints and boosting manufacturing productivity.”

This innovative solution, based on AI and IoT technologies, was developed by X-Camp, XLSmart’s dedicated innovation lab focusing on enterprise AI and IoT applications. The project received research support from ASTRAtech, a subsidiary of the Astra Group, and drone manufacturer Bentara Tabang Nusantara (Beta-UAS).

Originally created to address material transfer and mobilization challenges within Astra’s manufacturing subsidiaries, the drone solution has now been expanded for broader commercial deployment across various manufacturing companies.

“We aim to extend our drone solutions into other sectors such as infrastructure, logistics, construction, agribusiness, heavy equipment, mining, and property development, particularly within the Astra Group ecosystem. We see great potential for this technology to transform operations across industries,” said Henri Paul, Director of ASTRAtech.
