The collaboration aims to create an open, scalable, and secure AI home platform that will underpin a broad array of smart home services tailored to Vietnam’s unique market conditions and consumer preferences.

The three companies will work together to select, develop, and localize smart home products, including sensors, control systems, and connected appliances, ensuring they are suited to the needs of Vietnamese users. The partnership also involves co-creating new AI home business models that will enable VNPT to integrate these innovative offerings into its existing broadband and television services, expanding its digital ecosystem.

VNPT Technology’s General Director, To Manh Cuong, described the partnership as a significant step in the company’s long-term technology strategy. He expressed optimism that the cooperation would open new avenues for innovation and create additional value for customers, signaling a strategic move towards smart home solutions.

The initiative, formalized under a memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed earlier this month, has been in development since September, when VNPT indicated interest in adopting True’s “TrueX” smart-home ecosystem capabilities for Vietnam. The TrueX platform, developed in partnership with Tuya Smart and T3, includes routers, AI speakers, and over-the-top (OTT) platforms that support features such as multi-language AI voice interaction, smart entertainment, education, news, and IoT-AI integration.

Ekaraj Panjavinin, Chief Digital Officer of True Corp and President of True Digital Group, highlighted the regional significance of the partnership. He stated that the collaboration would demonstrate True Digital’s ability to export its expertise in smart-home solutions across Southeast Asia. With over 2.2 million downloads and more than 800,000 monthly active users of the TrueX app, he emphasized that True Digital’s experience in managing large-scale IoT and AI platforms in Thailand and beyond would help co-create a seamless digital lifestyle ecosystem for Vietnamese consumers.
