The memorandum of understanding (MoU) sets the stage for Myriota to introduce its multi-band connectivity services and IoT enablement platform to Indonesia, including the innovative HyperPulse 5G NTN service.

Developed in collaboration with satellite communications giant Viasat, HyperPulse is touted as the first IoT service to leverage Viasat’s dynamic leasing capabilities across its L-band network. This technology allows for real-time adjustments to connectivity performance parameters — such as latency and data availability — based on geographic location, environmental conditions, and customer demands, providing a flexible and efficient IoT connectivity solution.

HyperPulse complements Myriota’s existing low Earth orbit (LEO)-based UltraLite service, which is designed to deliver energy-efficient, secure, and spectrum-efficient connectivity suitable for the most demanding IoT applications. By integrating these advanced services, Telkomsat aims to strengthen its extensive portfolio of satellite solutions, playing a crucial role in Indonesia’s digital transformation and the broader Southeast Asian region.

The partnership is expected to target several high-growth sectors within the ASEAN market, including maritime, oil and gas, agriculture, and environmental and disaster monitoring. These industries are projected to reach multi-billion-dollar valuations within the next five years, underscoring the significant market potential for IoT solutions and satellite connectivity in the region. The collaboration aims to accelerate IoT adoption and foster economic development by providing reliable, scalable, and flexible connectivity solutions tailored to diverse industry needs.
