The courses have been designed in partnership with TCCA, the global member-led organisation representing the critical communications sector, and are delivered by Wray Castle, the long-established telecoms training experts. The focused, practical and highly relevant courses cover the latest critical telecoms technologies including mission critical narrowband TETRA, mission critical broadband, LTE and 5G technologies, tailored to the precise needs of critical industry sector users such as those in public safety, utilities, transport, energy and mining.

For graduates or engineers moving into critical communications for the first time, non-technical people working in governments, financial control, administrators and those responsible for specifying and tendering for critical communications equipment, there are introductory courses designed to give an overview of the sector and the technologies.

Courses are delivered by subject matter experts, and are available for interactive and engaging delivery in classroom, via virtual classroom, as private in-company training programmes, and/or as on-demand home study courses.

“Expertise in critical communications is becoming ever more pertinent in today’s world,” said Kevin Graham, TCCA CEO. “By creating this specific portfolio of courses, we are aiming to increase and enhance the knowledge base across our sector and also encourage more people to become active in critical communications roles.”

Andrew White, CEO at Wray Castle said: “In an era defined by uncertainty and evolving threats, the strategic hardening of our mission critical communications networks is essential to national security. Through the launch of the Critical Communications Institute in partnership with TCCA, we are sharing the skills and knowledge needed to build, operate and secure mission-critical infrastructure worldwide. This initiative will help prepare network operators, governments agencies, and industries to meet the challenges of tomorrow with resilience.”
