The Changing Lives Award recognizes organizations and projects dedicated to transforming lives across Africa through innovative solutions. By harnessing satellite technology, SES is enabling WPDI’s trainees to access vital educational tools, digital literacy programs, and leadership development opportunities, empowering them to become catalysts for positive change in their communities.

The partnership, launched in June 2025, focuses on equipping learning centres with reliable connectivity to ensure that Africa’s youth can benefit from virtual exchange programs, entrepreneurship training, and other digital learning initiatives. This access is helping to prepare young leaders to drive social and economic transformation across the continent.

“This recognition underscores the transformative power of satellite technology in bridging the digital divide and creating tangible opportunities for young people in underserved regions. We are proud to support WPDI’s mission to promote peace and positive change in Africa,” said SES CEO Adel Al-Saleh.

“Education is the cornerstone of lasting peace. At WPDI, we harness the power of technology to open doors for young people affected by conflict and instability. Equipping them with knowledge and resources enables them to shape their futures and become drivers of positive change in their communities,” said Forest Whitaker.
