Under the campaign slogan “Empowering Education, Anywhere,” EduLINK utilises Starlink’s low Earth orbit (LEO) satellite technology to ensure that no school is too remote and no learner is left behind. The programme offers qualifying schools in Botswana, Eswatini, Kenya, Mozambique, Malawi, Rwanda, and Zambia access to 2 terabytes of Priority Data each month, along with additional data buffers to support uninterrupted online learning and access to digital educational resources.

The EduLINK package is exclusively available to schools holding a recognised Education Certificate. It includes the Standard Starlink Kit, which is sold separately, and features professional installation supported by Paratus’ local expertise, flexible payment options within the country, and ongoing customer support. Paratus has been active in the education sector for nearly seven years through its longstanding partnership with Eduvision in Namibia, where it has provided satellite infrastructure and technical support to benefit over 12,000 learners and 471 teachers. The initiative has delivered impressive results, significantly enhancing student engagement, comprehension, and academic outcomes by ensuring consistent digital access, demonstrating the transformative impact of reliable connectivity in education.

“We’re proud to bridge the digital divide for thousands of learners who deserve the same opportunities as everyone else, regardless of how remote their location,” said Barney Harmse, Executive Chairman of Paratus Group.

Starlink’s advanced satellite constellation enables true broadband performance, offering high bandwidth, low latency, and resilience even in areas lacking traditional infrastructure. With EduLINK, schools can facilitate online learning, teacher training, digital examinations, and collaborative projects, fostering progress and promoting inclusivity in education across the continent.
