The ceremony was attended by key figures including Sofiene Hemissi, Minister of Communication Technologies, Brelotte Ba, Deputy CEO of Orange Middle East and Africa, and Thierry Millet, CEO of Orange Tunisia. This latest-generation facility has been meticulously designed to adhere to the highest international standards of performance, security, and resilience.

The new data centre stands as a strategic site for optimal performance. Covering an expansive area of 1,000m² and featuring a technical environment compliant with the TIER III standard, the facility guarantees maximum availability for hosted services through complete system redundancy. Its design prioritizes the provision of reliable, secure, and scalable digital solutions, crucial for meeting the increasing digital demands of Tunisian businesses.

This infrastructure is specifically dedicated to supporting both Orange Tunisia’s internal operations and the diverse needs of its B2B clientele. It will offer premium hosting solutions, including cloud computing services, data backup, and business continuity planning, all within a locally managed environment. The facility is particularly tailored for businesses seeking high-performance and secure digital capabilities.

Notably, the project is a testament to 100% Tunisian expertise. The result of collaborative efforts among Tunisian companies, the data centre showcases local proficiency in engineering, IT infrastructure, and digital services, underscoring a strong commitment to strengthening the country’s technology ecosystem.

Accessibility, security, and resilience are central to the infrastructure’s design. Strategically located and connected to fibre optics by local operators, the data centre benefits from optimal accessibility. It incorporates cutting-edge technologies for both physical and logical security, robust access control measures, and ensuring service continuity. This facility represents a key component of Orange Tunisia’s network architecture, significantly enhancing the robustness and reliability of services offered nationwide.
