Glo highlighted that its Glo-1 submarine cable, which provides a direct connection from Nigeria to Europe via a private international fibre optic network, will serve as the core infrastructure for this ambitious project. The company emphasized that the Glo-1 network offers superior bandwidth capacity, low latency, and highly secure connections — features vital for supporting the government’s digital transformation initiatives and enhancing the efficiency of public services.
Through this partnership, Imo State aims to position itself as a hub for connectivity and digital services, aligning with a development strategy centred on innovation and digital integration.
