The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) outlines collaborative efforts to deploy innovative energy solutions for telecom towers and electric vehicles (EVs), supporting Bangladesh’s broader sustainability goals.

Key initiatives include piloting a subscription-based battery backup system designed to ensure continuous power supply to telecom towers, addressing issues of outages and enhancing network reliability. Additional projects feature battery swapping stations and fast-charging systems for EVs, aimed at reducing charging times and making clean energy more accessible to local communities.

The partnership underscores a dual focus: maintaining uninterrupted telecom services while actively reducing reliance on fossil fuels. By integrating renewable energy solutions, Edotco and Tiger New Energy aim to cut carbon emissions and promote energy equity, aligning with Bangladesh’s national sustainability agenda.

“This partnership is more than just a technological leap — it’s a significant step toward a greener, more inclusive digital future. By merging clean energy with smart infrastructure, we’re fostering sustainable connectivity and creating tangible benefits for communities,” said Sunil Isaac, Country Managing Director of Edotco Bangladesh.

“These innovative solutions unlock pathways to affordable, clean energy, helping to reduce carbon footprints and enabling everyday citizens to participate in a greener future. This is true shared progress in action,” said Nicole Mao, co-founder and CEO of Tiger New Energy.
