This expansion ensures that subscribers traveling abroad can enjoy 5G connectivity with speeds of up to 1Gbps, delivering high-quality, seamless mobile experiences internationally.

In addition to its global roaming initiatives, Dialog has partnered with ZTE to introduce what it claims is Sri Lanka’s most affordable 5G smartphone. Launched in late July, the device is priced at LKR35,999, making 5G technology more accessible to a broader segment of consumers.

The new smartphone features a 6.75-inch HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 6GB of RAM, 128GB of internal storage, and a robust 5,000mAh battery, ensuring smooth performance and long-lasting usage. It also sports a dual rear camera setup with a 50MP primary sensor and a 2MP depth sensor, along with an 8MP front camera.

“Our unwavering dedication to providing seamless, high-speed connectivity, whether at home or abroad, is exemplified by these recent milestones,” said Lim Li San, Group COO of Dialog Axiata. “Supporting extensive roaming and launching an affordable 5G device underscores our mission to deliver a world-class mobile experience for all Sri Lankans.”

This strategic move aims to boost 5G adoption domestically by making devices more affordable and expanding international connectivity options, reinforcing Dialog’s position as a pioneer in Sri Lanka’s digital transformation journey.
