Under this collaboration, AdventEnergy will supply electricity to 1,642 of DITO’s cell towers, supporting the network’s expansion and ensuring reliable connectivity for millions of Filipinos.

While specific details such as the schedule or the types of energy — renewable or non-renewable — that will be used remain undisclosed, the partnership reflects an aggregated energy demand of approximately 13.8 megawatts (MW). The cell towers are primarily distributed across the Greater Manila, South Luzon, and North Luzon regions — all located on Luzon, the Philippines’ largest and most populous island.

“This is more than just an energy supply contract; it’s an investment that will keep millions of Filipinos connected, informed, and empowered in today’s fast-paced digital world,” said Eric Alberto, President and CEO of DITO Telecommunity.

The initiative underscores DITO’s commitment to providing high-speed 5G connectivity to its 15-million subscriber base.

This collaboration aligns with the Philippines’ Energy Regulatory Commission’s Retail Aggregation Programme (RAP), which allows enterprises with multiple facilities in a contiguous area to combine their electricity demands to meet the 500kW threshold necessary to participate in the competitive retail electricity market. AdventEnergy aims to support the RAP by delivering reliable, future-ready energy solutions, reinforcing its ‘always-on innovation’ philosophy.

Both AdventEnergy and DITO share a vision that innovation and forward-thinking solutions are vital to empowering communities and fostering sustainable progress across the Philippines. This partnership not only enhances the reliability of DITO’s network but also underscores the importance of integrating innovative energy strategies to support the country’s digital and economic growth.
